Background of the study on glass frit sealing for DSSC
The DSSC with organic solvent based electrolyte is the main current, as the efficiency of DSSC of this kind is much higher than that using other kinds of electrolyte. However, the leakage of the organic solvent based electrolyte is a critical problem to the long term stability of DSSC. To overcome the leakage problem, the hermatic sealing by use of glass frit has been studied.

The spacer as shown in the microscopic section view is home-made from borosilicate glass through grinding and sieving process, which is for keeping a uniform cell gap with demanded value. |
